Side Plank

These notes combine advice from 6 reviewed passages across 4 workouts.

Hold the side plank with the body rigid and facing sideways. This position uses body stiffness to maintain balance.

Keep the body straight and lift fully through the supporting shoulder. Keep the torso facing sideways instead of turning inward, and hold the head straight.

If the body tilts, check the placement of the supporting hand and elbow.

The feet may be stacked one on top of the other. They may also be spread apart.
